E.L.F Palette Haul & Review

E.L.F Palette Review

Hi lovelies!

So lately iv been treating myself a bit and decided you can never have too many palettes or eye shadows for that matter! So i bought 3 palettes from Eyes Lips Face (E.L.F).

I absolutely LOVE them! I would highly recommend you go and treat yourself to some immediately! (and no I'm not paid to say that!)

They are really affordable, have a great colour selection, blend really nicely and are just beautiful.

I got this palette with a selection of eye shadows and a selection of blushers & bronzers.

This has become a staple for me daily.

The top row, second from the end has become my fave blusher, it really suits my skin tone an gives a lovely flushed cheek effect. Perfect in the winter months!

The very middle (bottom row) has also become my everyday contour bronzer and its really fab.

Iv not explored the colours a whole lot in this one as yet but the few i have tried are really pretty.

This neutrals palette is my new favorite right now and i use it daily. The colours are great for a simple neutral look or something a bit darker and smokier.

Basically i cant rate these palettes highly enough they are just brilliant and you should definitely grab some!

Have you tried any of the other palettes by E.L.F? What do you think of them?

Don't forget to subscribe to keep up to date with new blog posts!

See you soon!

November Glossybox

Hi lovelies!

Its a bit late but here's my November Glossybox review :)

I actually ordered two by mistake (oh well!) and i pretty much got the same things but two were slightly different but ill get to that further on.

I always love the attention to detail in the Glossybox packaging its so pretty!

Firstly i got this matte black eye shadow from Emite which iv never actually heard of. I got a shimmery white/ivory one in my other box. The black I'm not too keen on as its quite chalky and hard to blend, the white one however i really love its very pretty and great for inner corner an under brow highlighting. However i don't think id buy from them as the prices are quite high (these shadows are around £15 each).

Next i have an Agese Oil sample. Not really much to say about this as it doesn't really tell you much about it but i tried it on my face, (I'm assuming that's where its for) and it didn't really do much of anything.

I also have an Elegant Touch rapid dry for nails. This is a quick dry spray that you spray over you nail polish. I'm a bit unsure about this as i may be using it incorrectly, it did dry my nails a bit quicker but also made them streaky ...hmm.

Now this Yves Rocher hand cream is gorgeous! I got a chocolate orange one and in my other box a chocolate raspberry one. They are lovely and thick and smell amazing!!! I just wish the scent lasted a bit longer but I'd definitely repurchase this!

I also got 3 Vichy samples but i cant give this a good or bad review as yet because iv not been able to test it properly. Iv had alot of face creams lately so I'm trying to not to use too many at once because i keep having breakouts as it is.

All in all not a bad box but nothing really amazing.

What did you get in your Glossybox in November?

Thanks for reading and come back soon for more reviews.

Avon Mega Effects Mascara Review

Avon Mega Effects Mascara

Hi everyone!

So iv been a bit of a rubbish blogger lately! Sorrrrry! Hope you all forgive me ;)
Iv actually gone and got myself not 1, not 2 ...but 3 new jobs! I've been a bit of a busy bee!!!
2 of my jobs are at weekend and the 3rd is being an Avon rep so don't fret, it wont affect my blogging ;)

Iv not had much chance to do any beauty related shopping lately (i will be doing quite a few Avon reviews in the coming months though) but as soon as i became an Avon rep, i got my order in for this little beauty!
Iv heard & read soooo many rave reviews about it i just HAD to try it out!
I have to say, it lived up to the hype!

If you haven't yet heard about this revolutionary new mascara yet take a quick look at this short video...

Its got the funkiest brush ever and its the easiest and most precise brush iv ever used. It gets all the little hairs that a normal brush sometimes struggle with and its fully coated in the mascara, so covers really well root to tip.
I found that it lengthened my lashes quite a bit ( i have quite short stumpy, almost translucent lashes) and lifted and separated them well too and with no clumps.

Its not the most voluminous on 1 coat but with 2 or more coats it improves volume each time, so you have 100% control with this mascara.
The only negative thing i could say about this product is that its not advertised as waterproof but its quite difficult to wash off, it can make your eyes feel a bit heavy and tired at the end of a full day wearing it. In my opinion even with the small negatives its totally worth it though because its fab and its become my new holy grail go-to daily mascara!

I highly recommend you give it a go!

before and after 1 coat of the mascara (im also wearing avon supershock gel eyeliner in black which is also unbeleivably amazing!)

this is after 2 coats of the mascara (im also wearing the avon supershock gel & liquid eyeliners)

Have you tested this mascara? What did you think?
Hoe you have a great weekend!
Back soon with a new blog post!

xoxo

( I also have a widget at he right hand side that takes you to my personal online Avon brochure if your interested in taking a look! Id be more than happy to take any orders too if you don't have a rep in your area ! **please note that me being an Avon rep will NOT change my reviews of products - if i think something is rubbish i WILL tell you - I'm NOT after sales i do Avon because i actually really enjoy it **)

All products used were by MUA, Nyx, Rimmel, Barry M and Avon. The clown and the pop art looks were inspired by the fabulous and gorgeous Emma Pickles.
The other looks i found by searching google.
I think the pop art and sugar skull are my personal favourites.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils review and swatches

~Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils~

609 - French Fries
619 - Rust
602 - Dark Brown

I bought these as a trio set from Very.com for £14 after watching a Shaaanxo YouTube video where she uses the Rust pencil. I loved the smokey copper look she created so much i thought id buy the trio rather than the singular, so i could try to recreate the look and more.

I have had the Jumbo pencil in milk for some time but this was the only one i had and i really loved that so imagined these would be just as good. The milk pencil is brilliant as an eyeshadow base to make bright colours pop.

These 3 pencils certainly haven't disappointed!
They are so soft and creamy and really easy to blend. They do crease a bit if you don't use a shadow on top but its not super noticeable unless you have oily eyelids, in which case it might be a bit of a problem. Adding a similar shade eye shadow on top though locks them in place and makes the colours really stand out.

Theres thousands upon thousands of YouTube tutorials using these pencils in all the different shades so its well worth having a look for some great looks you can create.

MadeYewLook is another favourite YouTuber of mine who uses lots of these pencils for some of her 'costume' make up, especially while she was in the NYX face awards (Well done by the way Lex!). The looks she created with these pencils were utterly phenomenal! You have to check them out! There are some amazing ideas for Halloween too!

PHENOMENAL!!!
This girl totally blows me away with her work!

I only have one small gripe about these pencils and that's the lids! They are so super fragile and crack sooo easily which makes me :(

Its not very clear in the picture but one of these arrived with a crack already in it and the other cracked the first time i put the lid back on the pencil. My milk pencil is the same.

That's the only bad thing i could possibly say about these pencils though, they are really fabulous and a fantastic investment...I'm hoping to own the entire collection one day!

I really hope you enjoyed this post, id love to hear your feedback in the comments section below :)

Glossybox October 2013

October 2013

Hi again! So here is what i got in my Glossybox this month and I'm really quite gutted.
The theme was "Dark Romance" so i was expecting deep red/black/smokey makeup or nail polish, strong musky floral scents or luxurious thick creams of some kind. Nothing i this box rang true with the theme in my opinion. I was pretty disappointed with all of it.

The box however was very pretty but again didn't match the theme in my opinion, more old Hollywood romance than dark romance.

I do love how pretty and delicate the decor and wrapping always is!

This is the contents of my box...

I got Katy Perry Killer Queen perfume sample, Monu illuminating primer, MeMeMe Cherubs Blush cheek & lip stain, Harmony Smoothie Serum & imPRESS press on manicure nails.

The Katy Perry Killer Queen scent is lovely, very fruity and sweet with a little depth. More a summers night kind of scent than dark romance.

This Monu illuminating primer wasn't anything special. It felt like a very light moisturiser with minimal effect. It did moisturise my skin but i only seemed to feel the benefits of it for about 15 minutes. It has a slight sun cream smell to it too which i didn't like.

This Harmony smoothie serum again didn't really have much effect either only leaving my skin smooth and soft for about 15 minutes. This product had no scent at all.

The MeMeMe Cherubs Blush cheek & lip stain was absolutely horrid. Iv never tried a stain before and i don't think i will again after this! If you want to look like BoBo the clown for two days then this is perfect otherwise beware! It really does stain and doesn't blend! i ended up with a big red blotch on either cheek and it took several washes over two days to fully remove it. Seriously disliked this!

The imPRESS stick on manicure nails weren't too bad i suppose but they looked and felt very "cheap". They stuck on fairly well but felt too soft and flexible for fake nails (my natural nails are stronger), the lightly glittery tip also looked pretty tacky and the colour wasn't very "natural"

I like to try and find the best in products but just couldn't find much good about any of this. I always give my honest opinion too so if you enjoyed these products then that's fab but they just weren't to my liking at all.

Here's hoping Novembers Glossybox is better!!!

If you also subscribe to Glossybox id love to hear what you got it yours?

Thanks for checking out my blog, make sure you subscribe to keep up to date :)

Have a great week!

xoxo
