T-Zone Spot Zapping Gel Review!

(click the logo to go to the website)

Lately iv been having a lot of trouble with breakouts all over my chin/jaw and tops of my cheeks, its been sooo annoying! So after getting bored of trying different scrubs i decided to try something more head on. While i was out shopping i came across this T-Zone spot zapping gel in Home Bargains (UK discount store) for only 99p! So i thought i may as well give it a go for that price!

If I'm honest i was expecting it to be total rubbish purely because of how cheap it was but i totally ate my words!

Rather than dabbing it just on my spots iv been targeting the spots first and foremost and then rubbing a very thin layer over the rest of my face. It states that it promotes healthy looking skin (which my skin is in a miserable state lately) and its most certainly helping to improve it!

What the website says about the product....

Rapid Action Spot Zapping Gel

T-Zone Rapid Action Spot Zapping Gel rapidly targets, prevents and calms spots and blemishes. This cooling and quick-drying gel combines naturally anti-bacterial Tea Tree and Witch Hazel with skin clearing Salicylic Acid to help promote great looking skin.
  • Offers fast targeted action
  • Helps combat the causes of spots and blackheads
  • Promotes healthy looking skin

CHECK ,CHECK AND CHECK!  the website hasn't told me and porkies on this!

Its only a small tube but for 99p you get your moneys worth and its lasting a lot longer than i expected!

The gel comes out clear with a slight blue hint to it but goes on totally transparent and dries quickly

Iv been using it for less than a week at the time of writing this and my spots are massively reduced and the redness has all but gone. My blackheads are reducing and my skin feels altogether in a lot better condition.

For 99p I'm going to be stocking up loads of this stuff ....NEW HOLY GRAIL!

If your having trouble with breakouts like me id totally recommend you try this! I have sensitive skin and it does tingle a little for a minute but iv had no problems using it.
If you have already tried this id love to hear your experiences while using it! leave me a comment in the comments box below :D

(click the link to go to Glossybox website)

Ooh i do love Glossybox time, it feels like my birthday every month!
I love how much effort they put in to these gorgeous box designs too!

(Unfortunately i missed Augusts box due to a banking error oops!)

So here's September 2013 Glossybox contents!

(Scroll down for a review on each item)

Opening the box....

 *
The first product was Toni & Guy Shine Gloss Serum
in a limited edition LuLu bottle.

So iv been using this product for a week now and its doing a great job of taming my hair and making it glossy. Its a little heavy though so id recommend only using a small amount. Another great thing is that it smells really really nice!
*

*
The second product was a Be A Bombshell Eyeliner in Onyx

The nib on this pen is ideal for creating a fine line but also if u tilt it to the fatter end, it can create a thick line too. I really like this product but the nib does dry out quickly so can take time to apply while waiting for the nib to moisten again.
*
*
The third product was Elizabeth Arden - Untold Perfume sample

This smells absolutely divine! Very classy!
*
*
The fourth product was Rimmel Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint in
Pop of Pink

I didn't like this product unfortunately. It didn't leave much colour payoff and felt a little sticky on my skin.
*
*
The fifth product was Eyelure Pre Glued Lashes

These lashes look gorgeous. Very natural and feel lightweight.
They apply really easily and stick well although you may need to trim them as they are quite long along the band. Great lashes!

With their great prices and quality how could i resist??

So i did this order in two parts because i kept trying to tell myself i have enough MUA products....it didn't work!

***
 ***
In the first part i got 3 brushes (stippling brush, eyeshadow brush & blending brush), 2 gel eyeliners in brown and purple, fashionista maxi volume mascara, a repurchase of the matte foundation and a new foundation to try, the fashionista luminous foundation.

Gel liners in brown and purple

 Fashionista maxi volume mascara

Fashionista Ready to wear luminous foundation

3 brushes (stippling,eyeshadow & blending brushes)

In the second part of the order i got 3 more brushes, 4 eye shadows (blue bronze, pinky red,and copper), a brown kohl liner and undress your skin primer.

Here are swatches of the 4 eye shadows. from top to bottom - shade 31,25,28,24.

Here is how the primer looks

Swatches of the gel liners in brown and purple.

I must stop buying from MUA before i own everything!

I love all of these products except the gel liners, sadly they aren't very good. They were difficult to apply and applied streaky and i had to paste the gel on loads before it would stick properly. Oh well, out of everything iv got from MUA this is the only thing iv had a problem with really and that ain't bad going in my books!

The brushes are brilliant and for how cheap they are id highly recommend them for any one on a budget!

Hope you enjoyed this haul! Don't forget to subscribe via Google or Bloglovin and check out my social media pages :)

Have a great day!

VIVO Cosmetics Review

(Click the logo to go to vivo homepage)

Hi again everyone!

Hope your all having a great day! Thanks for coming back to read my ramblings ;)

Before i start i just wanted to mention that these are actually my mums that she let me have a play with so i probably wont end up doing any "fotd/motd" looks with them.

VIVO cosmetics is another drugstore range that is sole in the pharmacies and supermarkets here in the UK. I'm not sure how much these products cost but i know they were on sale so were very good prices.

There are 5 eyeshadow palettes, 3 baked blushers, 2 lipsticks a primer and a mascara.

These palettes are a lot better than i expected they are quite pigmented although the shimmer ones seem more pigmented than the matte ones. They are mainly shimmer shadows but there are 1 or 2 matte ones thrown in too. I found them nice and easy to apply and lasted well and the colours were really lovely.

I wasn't so sure about the primer it felt a little greasy to apply and didn't seem to do much when on.

The mascara is FAB! i loooove it! It really does lengthen your lashes and has a thin brush too which makes it easier to get the those tricky bits in the corners and do your lower lashes. Will be getting myself one of these soon!

The blushers are lovely too, nicely pigmented with a slight shimmer too so you probably wouldn't need a highlighter with these.

The lipsticks however i absolutely hated. They felt hideous on and melted and slid off my lips. I left the tube with the lid on, on my lap for a few minutes while i was doing something and when i took the lid off, the lipstick was melting! The consistency, the taste, the smell...all gross! Yuk yuk yuk!

So the VIVO products like a lot of companies are a bit hit and miss but i think they are worth go though because the eye shadows and mascara are great, as is the baked blush but some other were poor like the lipstick and primer.

Have you tried any VIVO products? Whats your thoughts on them?
Leave your comments int he box down below :)
