Happy Halloween everyone!

Just a quick little post to show you what i been up to over the past week.

Iv been creating some Halloween looks :) Its my first time doing any kind of Halloween look so they aren't great but i don't think they are too bad for a first timer... what do you think?

Id love to hear your favourites!
Leave me a comment below

Have a fun Halloween and stay safe!

All products used were by MUA, Nyx, Rimmel, Barry M and Avon. The clown and the pop art looks were inspired by the fabulous and gorgeous Emma Pickles.
The other looks i found by searching google.
I think the pop art and sugar skull are my personal favourites.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils review and swatches

~Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils~

609 - French Fries
619 - Rust
602 - Dark Brown

I bought these as a trio set from Very.com for £14 after watching a Shaaanxo YouTube video where she uses the Rust pencil. I loved the smokey copper look she created so much i thought id buy the trio rather than the singular, so i could try to recreate the look and more.

I have had the Jumbo pencil in milk for some time but this was the only one i had and i really loved that so imagined these would be just as good. The milk pencil is brilliant as an eyeshadow base to make bright colours pop.

These 3 pencils certainly haven't disappointed!
They are so soft and creamy and really easy to blend. They do crease a bit if you don't use a shadow on top but its not super noticeable unless you have oily eyelids, in which case it might be a bit of a problem. Adding a similar shade eye shadow on top though locks them in place and makes the colours really stand out.

Theres thousands upon thousands of YouTube tutorials using these pencils in all the different shades so its well worth having a look for some great looks you can create.

MadeYewLook is another favourite YouTuber of mine who uses lots of these pencils for some of her 'costume' make up, especially while she was in the NYX face awards (Well done by the way Lex!). The looks she created with these pencils were utterly phenomenal! You have to check them out! There are some amazing ideas for Halloween too!

This girl totally blows me away with her work!

I only have one small gripe about these pencils and that's the lids! They are so super fragile and crack sooo easily which makes me :(

Its not very clear in the picture but one of these arrived with a crack already in it and the other cracked the first time i put the lid back on the pencil. My milk pencil is the same.

That's the only bad thing i could possibly say about these pencils though, they are really fabulous and a fantastic investment...I'm hoping to own the entire collection one day!

I really hope you enjoyed this post, id love to hear your feedback in the comments section below :)

Glossybox October 2013

October 2013

Hi again! So here is what i got in my Glossybox this month and I'm really quite gutted.
The theme was "Dark Romance" so i was expecting deep red/black/smokey makeup or nail polish, strong musky floral scents or luxurious thick creams of some kind. Nothing i this box rang true with the theme in my opinion. I was pretty disappointed with all of it.

The box however was very pretty but again didn't match the theme in my opinion, more old Hollywood romance than dark romance.

I do love how pretty and delicate the decor and wrapping always is!

This is the contents of my box...

I got Katy Perry Killer Queen perfume sample, Monu illuminating primer, MeMeMe Cherubs Blush cheek & lip stain, Harmony Smoothie Serum & imPRESS press on manicure nails.

The Katy Perry Killer Queen scent is lovely, very fruity and sweet with a little depth. More a summers night kind of scent than dark romance.

This Monu illuminating primer wasn't anything special. It felt like a very light moisturiser with minimal effect. It did moisturise my skin but i only seemed to feel the benefits of it for about 15 minutes. It has a slight sun cream smell to it too which i didn't like.

This Harmony smoothie serum again didn't really have much effect either only leaving my skin smooth and soft for about 15 minutes. This product had no scent at all.

The MeMeMe Cherubs Blush cheek & lip stain was absolutely horrid. Iv never tried a stain before and i don't think i will again after this! If you want to look like BoBo the clown for two days then this is perfect otherwise beware! It really does stain and doesn't blend! i ended up with a big red blotch on either cheek and it took several washes over two days to fully remove it. Seriously disliked this!

The imPRESS stick on manicure nails weren't too bad i suppose but they looked and felt very "cheap". They stuck on fairly well but felt too soft and flexible for fake nails (my natural nails are stronger), the lightly glittery tip also looked pretty tacky and the colour wasn't very "natural"

I like to try and find the best in products but just couldn't find much good about any of this. I always give my honest opinion too so if you enjoyed these products then that's fab but they just weren't to my liking at all.

Here's hoping Novembers Glossybox is better!!!

If you also subscribe to Glossybox id love to hear what you got it yours?

Thanks for checking out my blog, make sure you subscribe to keep up to date :)

Have a great week!

Check Out These Looks Iv Been Creating!

Hi everyone!

So this is going to a super short sweet post because I wasn't sure what to blog about today. I'm currently awaiting my October glossybox and I'm waiting for payday because iv got a few purchase I'm going to make and blog about. Hopefully I'll have my glossybox post ready for Wednesday!

So I thought I'd just do a very short simple post on some makeup looks iv been playing around with lately.
Products haven't been listed though because I honestly can't remember exactly but I do know that it's MUA, NYX and E.L.F products.
I hope you like them and I'd really super live your feedback on them (keeping in mind I'm still a novice)

Thanks so much and have a great week!

Xoxo

Ok so this is a smokey grey/black eye combo with a bright red lip. Combined it was too o.t.t for me and quite vampy. I think some one with dark hair and pale skin like Emma pickles (euphoriccreation) could pull this look off really well.

I absolutely loved this look and I'm planning to wear it with a nude lip for a night out next month. It's shimmery purple smoked out in the outer V with a matte black. It's very full on but utterly gorgeous and really has the wow factor.

This was a simple nude/light gold/neutral brown combo with a black gentle cat eyeliner flick.
I did this look mainly to try out my Eylure lashes that I got in last months glossybox and as you can see they are gorgeous!

This was a late night throw together idea and I'm not entirely sure it worked but what do you think?
It's a greeny blue smoked out gently with a brown colour and lined with black liner. I thought it was very "under the sea" lol

This has been quite a staple 'go to' look for me recently. It's a gentle brown eye with a darker brown pencil liner with a cat eye flick. It's super quick and simple and a really beautiful look. It really makes blue eyes pop too!

So I hope you enjoyed these looks let me know what you think in the comments box below :)

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks Review

(click the logo to go to the website)

Soooo sorry for my lack of posts lately!!! Iv just become an Avon rep (so expect to see some Avon product reviews) and iv had problems getting on blogger Gahhh!

Anyway! In my absence iv been pampering my face with these little beauties. Iv actually been using this brand of face masks for years but thought id review them for you all.

~Get ready for some super sexy face mask pictures of me! ;)~

I bought four of these from my local Home Bargains store and it had a 4 for £2 deal which is fab!
This one is an anti stress clay type mask. I really like this one because it feels like it firms and tightens my skin and leaves it feeling quite refreshed.
This one was a no brainer....Chocolate orange? Oh my goodness trying to resist eating it was the hardest! Terrys chocolate orange is my favourite and this smells just like it! Yum! As for the benefits of it though i don't feel it actually did much for my skin even tho this is self heating too ...but its worth it for the smell! haha!

This one is a peel off one and dries fairly clear with a slight pink tone to it. This one also made my skin feel firmer afterwards - and is of course fun to peel off!

This one was really lovely it soothed my tired face and made me feel quite relaxed. Perfect for a Friday night after a busy week at work! ;)

I really do love these face masks and as i said, iv been using them for years with no problems with them and i have sensitive skin. I will continue to use them for many more years id imagine because most of them do leave your skin feeling a bit happier and of course its lovely to slap on while your relaxing in a bath.

I highly recommend you go out and pamper yourselves immediately!
We all deserve a bit of pampering ;)
